EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS ...

On Sunday we had lunch on the balcony of the Basin Hotel
in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  A lovely little town
with dozens of great shops to visit.

Started to rain while we where having lunch.  Thought it would be
just a small rain and be done by the time we were.  Wrong.
By the time we were ready to leave it was a DOWNPOUR !!!
We went downstairs and waited a few minutes and then
decided to run across the street and down all those stairs to
the car....I was  soaked and my shoes will never be the same.

Rained all the way down the mountain and thinking maybe we
got some of this rain at home....WRONG....not a drop !
Oh ... by the way ... the Basin is a GREAT place to eat while you are
in Eureka Springs....mmm good :)

FUN DAY IN EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS...

There are plenty of reasons why the charming town of Eureka Springs is one of the top tourist destinations in Arkansas. For starters, the entire village is on the National Register of Historic Places. Consider the fact that Eureka Springs Arkansas also rests in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, and you have yourself a pretty enviable place. More a resort village than your average small city, Eureka Springs features winding streets that are adorned with Victorian-style homes and manors.

VICTORIAN MOUNTAIN VILLAGE IN THE OZARKS!

Yesterday we spent the day in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's a lovely little town here in the Heart of the Ozarks. They have all types of shops, art galleries, spas and have the sweetest Victorian Bed and Breakfast places for you to stay in. The "gingerbread" homes are carefully preserved and the pastel colors and ornate decorations are beautiful!

We rode the Trolly around town and then had lunch at DeVito's, a litte Italian restaurant. It was nice to sit in a lovely place to have lunch and cool out a little. It was very very Hot! and the Humidity was Bad!

If you have never been to this little town, you really should go. You would enjoy it as much as Ron and I do.
