STORM HIT MOM'S YARD...

Damage to my Mom's back yard from the storm
that hit Arkansas on Friday.  A few other places
loss a couple of trees but nothing like
this!!!  Now for clean up.  Don't think an
almost 88 year old woman can take care of this...

HAPPY PUPS...



This is LUCY, my daughter's princess of a dog.  They just got home from
vacation in N.C. and this is Lucy running from the house when she
saw my daughter.  She is so sweet and so is my daughter...




This is Jessica as she is getting home and Milo letting
her know how much she was missed...



EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS ...

On Sunday we had lunch on the balcony of the Basin Hotel
in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  A lovely little town
with dozens of great shops to visit.



Started to rain while we where having lunch.  Thought it would be
just a small rain and be done by the time we were.  Wrong. 
By the time we were ready to leave it was a DOWNPOUR !!!
We went downstairs and waited a few minutes and then
decided to run across the street and down all those stairs to
the car....I was  soaked and my shoes will never be the same. 





Rained all the way down the mountain and thinking maybe we
got some of this rain at home....WRONG....not a drop !
Oh ... by the way ... the Basin is a GREAT place to eat while you are
in Eureka Springs....mmm good :)



SHINGLES AGAIN !!!

My hubby has Shingles for a second time.  I had them a few years ago and they are so painful! 
He just got back from the Doctor with pain pills and pills to dry up the rash so
maybe he will feel better in a few days.
Shingles is a skin rash caused by a nerve and skin inflammation from the same
virus that previously caused chickenpox. 
After an individual has chickenpox, this virus lives dormant in the
nervous system and is never fully cleared from the body. 

HEAT BRINGS A HAWK...

It was so hot here yesterday (106) that when we came home there was
a young hawk sitting in our bird bath.  We waited several minutes before getting
out of the car not wanting to scare him.  He didn't move when we got out and
went into the house.  My husband keeps three feeding pans of water
out for the birds while it is so hot and this young hawk stayed for almost
30 minutes enjoying the water.  I wish the pictures were better but
I took them from inside the house, not wanting to scare him off.

REUNION END...

At the end of the day we took a few last minute pictures, gave a lot of hugs
and kisses then said our sad good-bys... 
What a wonderful day that will long be remembered in the Hopper Family :)

NATURAL FALLS...

While some of us watche a DVD of my late aunt Ann back in 2005 telling stories that happen to
her in her life time the younger generation walked to the Naturel Falls. 

By the pictures they took it is a beautiful place to go but this old lady
didn't make the walk.  I will have to go back and do the drive-thru...

LUNCH TIME...

Husband Ron and Grandson Josh doing the cooking.  My son-n-law is in
here somewhere helping with the cooking.  Ron said he couldn't have done it
without the help of Josh and Brian.
