HOPPER HERITAGE
We took another genealogy trip last week to "COBB CEMETERY" a few miles East of Kansas City, MO. My Great Great Grandfather, John David Hopper, was the first person to be buried in Cobb Cemetery in 1843. Some say his wife, Mary, is buried here but has no stone. His son, William and wife Letty Cobb Hopper are both buried here as well as their daughter, Mary R. Hopper. William Hopper was in the Civil War battle that took place in Lone Jack, Mo. Lone Jack is about 10 miles from the cemetery. There are no dates on John David's grave, just his name and the D is backwards. We took Hy Way 50 to State Hy way 131 to HH and down Shippy Road. I was really surprised we found it but oh so happy!

ELK RIVER...
Last week we passed the Elk River just out of Pineville, MO. and it was beautiful and quite. It's still beautiful this Memorial Week-end but it not quite! There must be thousands of people on this river from Pineville all the way to Noel. Every one is having fun in this beautiful spot.....
