Having a very nice and quite New Years Day here at our little old cottage house
in Arkansas.  Going to repot some African Violets after the lunch my hubby
is in the kitchen fixing.  Yes dear friends, he does all the grocery shopping and

Praying that 2013 will be a great Blessing also ....

FAMILY ORNAMENTS AS TREE COMES DOWN...

Grand Children Jarrod and Maycee.  This was taken
many many years ago.  My daughter took the picture
then posted it on facebook for them to see.

This was put on a package for my daughter from her
grandmother, Lois many years ago.  I saved it
and still put it on one of her packages each year.
Brings a smile to both of us.

A Christmas tag from my son many years ago.

I have several of these ornaments made by my
daughter back in 1978.  I treasure each one
and now she is beginning too.

I love this Christmas tag from my son
from many many years ago.  I have had it
tacked to my bulletin board for ever until I
got these clear glass ornaments.

A new ornament added to the tree this year...
A hand print of my great grandson, Colton who is
two months old.

Another new ornament this year.  I put a picture
of Colton in one of my glass ornaments and
put it on the tree.  Made another one for
my daughter since this little grandson of hers
stole her heart at first glance.

CHRISTMAS TREE...

For the first time in about eight or nine years we put up
our Christmas Tree.  We have always had Christmas at
my mother's house so we stopped putting one up
for just the two of us.  This year mom said she was
cancelling Christmas so we said we would have it at our house.
My daughter has been after us to do it here for about five years
so this year she is getting her wish.

CHRISTMAS FOR JUSTIN, TAYOR AND COLTON...

Early Christmas for Justin and his family since they have to back on base by
the 17th.  Justin made my day when he opened the camo Arkansas hat he has on
in this picture.  He wanted to buy it the other day and even tried it on but needed
to save his money to get home on.  We were both excited!!!!!

HOT DOGS FOR THANKSGIVING...

Our Grandson, Josh came by our house last night after a 10 hour day of Glazing Hams
at Whole Hog Cafe where he is working.  He puts the glaze on all the hams that
they sell for Thanksgiving and Christmas with a torch.  He came in with a
burnt finger and a cut on his hand and his Grandpa said "looks like you had a hard day,
you better go get you a Mountain Dew and have a drink."

Josh goes to fridge to get his drink and the first thing he sees is a HAM looking back at
him and says "I hate you, damm ham"
I'm having Hot Dogs for Thanksgiving Dinner, I'm sure not having HAM!   LOL

WHAT'S MY NAME ?

African Violets use to come with names but not anymore.  Anyway not the ones you
buy in your local stores like Walmart or Lowes.  I have five of this little lady and
have been trying to find out her name.  She is five petals with purple on the edge of a
white bloom and dark green leaves.
I started all of these from my Mother's plant and it was a very
easy one to start with a leaf.  Just wish I could find out her name.
