JUSTIN DAN....OUR MARINE!

My Grandson, Justin Dan, is graduating from Marine Boot camp tomorrow, January 15, 2010. His mom, dad and brother are all in San Diego to be with him. They are flying home Saturday and Justin will be here for ten days then reports back for duty. I can't wait to see him. I did get to talk to him this evening for a few minutes. I don't know what I did to
get such a wonderful special young man for a grandson! I Love You Justin....

WHITE CHRISTMAS:

It's a White Christmas...woo-hoo! It's cold, it's wet, it's windy and you can't go anywhere. The roads are beginning to thaw out a little now that it's too late to go to my mother's for Christmas dinner as we had planned. Almost didn't make it home last night from mother's with this storm blowing in. We have 4/6 inches and it's 17 degrees out there so we stayed home and had hot dogs for Christmas dinner :)

SURPRISE FROM HUBBY!

I came home from work the other day and Hubby gave me this box and said I thought you might like this. Anyway I hope you do...I do...I LOVE it!!! At first this little bracelet looks like it is a row of hearts then you look at it again and it is "GOD" spelled out...yes! I "LOVED" IT! My other bracelet that we found at a friend's shop here in Siloam Springs called Cee Cee's has the Lord's Prayer engraved on it with a tiny mustard seed hanging off of it. I have been wearing them everyday!!!!

DAD'S BIRTHDAY...

October 9th would have been my Dad's 93rd Birthday. He was born in 1916 and named after his father, James Garrison Hopper in Lawrence, Oklahoma. He was the best Dad a child could ever have. My brother's, Jim and Jeff and my sister Linda will all agree with me on this. He had a way about him that let his children know when enough was enough but he was so loving, so playful and so caring. He was just the best!!!! He gave us so many good memories and such a happy childhood. Dad we love you and miss you so very much and each time we think of you, we smile. James G.
