 he hit a deer on his way home.  He had two friends with him and thankfully no one was hurt except the dear deer...

                                                                       Our little town had Halloween last night...they don't like having it on Sunday so tonight will be very quite! Last night was anything but Quite!!!!! Spook house was sit up at my daughter's house, spooks, chainsaws and anything thing else you could think of....oh yes, a big fire in the fireplace for us old spooks...lol

BIRTHDAY CALLS...

Most all the kids called my husband for his birthday yesterday.  It's always great to hear from them but his big surprise was a call from his Grandson, Jarrod last night and a call from Grandson, Justin this morning. Both are Marines and stationed in N.C.  I hope they all know how much we love them and miss them.

Today is my husband, Ron's 73rd Birthday!  He sure doesn't look or act 73!  He is one great guy and God smiled on me the day I found him ;)

RETIRED...FIRST WEEK

Yes, I retired one week ago and I must tell you "I Am Lovin It"...People ask me what am I going to do and my reply is "Any Thing I want".  Oh Yes! I am lovin it!  I've started out each morning cleaning those corners you let go when you are working and just let slide by on the week-ends pretending not to see them.  I have such a to-do list in my head and it is soooo long that I am afraid to write it down.  And now that I am not working and in this wonderful state of retirement, I have to go meet with the insurance man and get all that settled....wish me luck ;)

SHINGLES HURT!!!

Just found out my daughter has shingles on her leg.  My husband and I both have had them and let me tell you They HURT!!!!  A few weeks after I had them my grandson, Josh, got them.  He was in grade school and the Dr. said he was the youngest person to get them that he had seen.

Shingles occurs when the virus that causes chickenpox starts up again in your body. After you get better from chickenpox, the virus ”sleeps” (is dormant) in your nerve roots. In some people, it stays dormant forever. In others, the virus “wakes up” when disease, stress, or aging weakens the immune system. It is not clear why this happens. But after the virus becomes active again, it can only cause shingles, not chickenpox.

NEW McDONALD'S IN TOWN

We have a new McDonald's in town.  It's the only McDonald's in town and we love it!!!!  Opened on September 6 with free food for VIP'S and FRIENDS.  My husband and his bunch of McDonald's coffee pals were in the VIP'S.  He even brought me a free lunch to work...sweet man that he is!  Our Grandson, Josh is working there and is keeping very busy....It will slow down in a few days, right now you can't get close to it...

HORNET REACTION:

My daughter, Suzie and Josh's Lady, Rachel both got stung 3 times each by Hornets!  They were down by the lake taking pictures when all of a sudden a sharp pain hit my daughter's arm.  She said it was like a pin going all the way into her arm.  Poor Rachel got it on the end of her nose, her lip and her stomach. Suzie got it on her arm and on her back.  Suzie had a reaction only on her arm.  It was swollen, very hot and hurt hurt hurt!!!!  The Dr. told her she should have gone to the ER but thankfully they are both OK!!!!

FUN AT CONCERT!

Ok, so Jeff Bates was great! Josh knocked on his bus before the show to get an old picture of him and my hubby autographed. After the show I got a "Hey Baby" whispered in my ear! I am such a groupie!!!

(Any time Jeff Bates has a concert in our area my daughter and her family go see him. They all love his music and he has always been so nice to them, signing pictures and spending time with them after the concert is over. They saw him last night and this was her post on Face Book....Mama snagged it!)

ONE MONTH TODAY!

Can't believe it has been a month today that Justin and Kierstin got married.  Before we turn around it will be a year.  Happy one month Anniversary to my Wonderful Grandson and his Beautiful Wife!!!!!

cute when he was little but they had a big cage built and George grew into the cage.  Now he is HUGE!  But he fits in with all of them....Mmmm where did she get her love for this kind of pet...not from me!

JUSTIN AND KIERSTIN...

     Our Newly Weds have made it to their new home in North Carolina and Justin is back on duty at the Base.  Kierstin is busy putting their new place together and we can't wait for pictures.  Wow! I just notice that both their names end in "STIN"...mmmmm

As in most families, Justin and Dad had a few choice words about how to guide and back up a truck.....Won't type out the conversation as I might get knocked off of here but I do have to laugh each time I see this picture...
