Playing around in Bree's Picture File

Dinner Out...

Suzy and Brian invited us to go to dinner with them last night for Brian's birthday. Brian's Mom and brother Jim was there with Justin plus four other friends. We went to "Crabbys", a new sea food place in Rogers. The food was great, the company was great and we had such a good time. We all said it was a little "priceeeee" but we all thought it was well worth it and want to go back. But you know Hubby and me, it's always Applebee's for us and we are use to those prices. It was Applebee's yesterday for lunch and again for lunch today. Think we are in a rut??? They were each in a different towns, does that make a difference? Hubby loved the couple he sat next too and said that the young man on the end next to Justin seemed like a very nice guy. Thanks for the invite kids, we had a SUPER GREAT time and your friends were awesome!

Great Surprise!

Oh My! I just went into the kitchen to get a hand full of almonds to snack on while checking myspace (to see what those wonderful grand kids have been up too) and guess what! Hubby is fixing that chicken, the one I posted yesterday, for dinner. Happy Day or I guess it should be Happy Evening. As most of you know my cooking consist mostly of Taco Bell, McDonald's or Applebee's.

Gross Smell!

As I was coming in the back door of the mudroom, a couple days ago I smelled some kind of strange smell. I couldn't make out what it was so I didn't think too much about it. The next day it was a little stronger and Hubby asked "do you smell somthing out here". Yes, I said, but I can't figure out what it is. Suzy and Josh were both here and Suzy said she smelled somthing when she came in. Ron asked me if I thought maybe it was my Lavender that was drying...but no way does Lavender smell like that! After the kids left we started looking around the mudroom and couldn't find anything!!!! Then Ron looked at our freezer and said "you don't think?" as he opened the lid. OH MY!!!! What a smell!!! Some how the freezer had been unpluged and every thing in it was BAD!!! Big ole turkey, a ham, and I don't know what else. When that smell came out of that freezer it hit every fly in this town and they were all over the windows and the screen door. Ron was sweeping them up with the sweeper, there were so many, and I went to the store after fly spray. Needless to say, we spent today cleaning that freezer and that mudroom. WOW, what a mess......but we got it done and moved the empty freezer into the kitchen. Now I have more space in the mudroom and am in the process of fixing up my tole painting area so I can get back into painting.

Drying my Lavender

I have no clue if I am doing this right or not.
It seems to be working. I put them out on my front porch during the day to dry and bring
them in each night. I have to put them up high
on a shelf in hubby's TV room so Sam Cat will
not get into them, because he sure does try!

If it works, it works, if not, so what.....
