Traveling along I-40 on our way to California we pass the "Cross Of Our Lord Jesus Christ" It is 40 miles east of Amarillo, Texas just west of Groom, on I-40 Exit 112. It is a beautiful place to stop and take a break. It is next to the highway with nothing around it and believe me it takes your breath away.
We saw the Cross for miles before we made our way to it. There is a beautiful gift shop that is now open. If you are near it you really need to stop and see it. Here is one of the web sites you can visit and see all the work that went into building this beautiful stopping place along I-40.
