FIRST PLACE AT DISTRICT

Josh won First Place at the District Track Meet in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
The school brought a new 14 foot vaulting pole for him to use at this meet. He made 12 feet with it and we were VERY proud of him. He was all set to go to State a week later but sometimes things happen and you don't get to do whats important to you. Josh learned a lesson the hard way this year about your mouth being on overload! Here's hoping for State next year =)

TEN FEET TEN INCHES...POLE VAULTING

My Grandson, Josh, came in second out of eight schools at the Track Meet last night. His highest was in Pole Vaulting at 10' 10". He did so good, we are all so proud of him. He still can't believe he did so good and said "I don't know where that came from?" I told him it came from his Great Grandpa Jim Hopper, who was very good in track back in his high school years. I have his ribbons and track metal with the date of 1936 on them to prove it =)...GO JOSH!!!!!

FACEBOOK CAT:

I don't know why my cat, Sam, does this, but each time I get on FaceBook he has to sit right in the middle of my screen!
Sometimes he will lay there and go to sleep and I have to look around him.

Sometimes he just wants to lay there and watch the cursor go up and down. Yesterday he started hitting the screen chasing the cursor. I picked up the can of dust remover and pressed it just a little and he got down. Now all I do is pick up the can and he is gone :)

HOPPER HERITAGE:

I am not sure how many years this lamp of Grandma Hopper's has been in our family. Grandma gave it
to Dad years ago when I was a small child. He said he did his homework with this lamp and it has traveled in a "covered wagon" belonging to his parents, Jim and Mollie Hopper. I just know this "little bit" of history that Dad told me about the lamp but I do know it is one of my most prized processions. To me this lamp is Priceless...

MY BIRTHDAY!

Had a great Birthday yesterday. Went to Applebees for lunch on Saturday with my daughter and her family. After lunch we came back to my house so we could take more pictures of Justin before he has to go back to the San Diego Marine Base for more training. We got to watch the DVD of his graduation which was great! The kids gave me a lot of "MARINE" scrapbooking stuff so I will be busy with that and all the pictures we took :)
