HOPPER HERITAGE...

Working on my Hopper Heritage book getting it ready for
our Hopper Family Reunion coming up in June. 
This is the first one I have given so I am just a little nervous.
These pages are of my Aunt Lillie, my Dad's older sister.
Her  laughter is a big memory for me, seems each
time Dad and Aunt Lillie were together there was lots
and lots of laughter.

SUMMER FLOWERS SAVED...



I brought in my flowes from the deck right before our
first freeze back in November.  I was told if I
shook all the dirt off the geranium's and put
them in a brown paper sack and keep them in a
dark cool place during the winter they would survive.
I had nothing to lose, they would die anyway, so
I was going to try it.  I placed them on my dryer
in front of a South window.  They did so good there,
that I set the other plants on a shelf in front of
that South window and they all survived the
winter and  they are beautiful!   Anyway I
am happy with them... 



WELCOME NEW BABY...

We welcome Luke Evan Hendren to our family this morning
at 7:57 A.M.  Luke weighed 8lbs 14 ozs and was 20 1/2 inches long.
His parents are, my niece, Karia and her husband Matt Hendren.
Today is Matt's Birthday and what a Birthday he got! 



Luke has an older brother, William, who is 15 months old and a
older sister Nicole, 8 years old.  Nicole told me this morning
it was a good thing Luke was a boy because she didn't
plan on sharing her room... 



HOPPER HERITAGE...

Dad's sister, Lillie Gladys Hopper Treat with her
husband, Percy.  This was taken about 1984.
Lillie was one of my favorite Aunts. 
She was always laughing and fun to be around.
She was twin to my Uncle Bill, they were the second
set of twins my Grandparent's, James and Mollie Hopper had.

Hopper Twins:  My Grandparents had two sets of
twins, Eiffel and Ethel then five years later
they had Lillie and Bill.  The twin boys
in this picture is the grandson's of Lillie.

HOPPER HERITAGE...

Dad's cousin and daughter of Sarah Jane Hopper Davis.  These
beautiful pictures were sent to me by JoAnn who is the great great
grand daughter of Sarah Jane.  She found me on Ancestry.com and
emailed me.  We have been exchanging information and pictures
ever since.  I didn't have much on Sarah Jane's family until JoAnn
contacted me.  I am so thankful for her and all she shared with me.
Since I printed out this page I have found out that Nancy's
 middle name was Lou, not Leo.  Leo was a nick name.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Happy Anniversary to my brother, Jim and his wife Gloria, yesterday.  I know
I'm a day late but I still want to send love and best wishes to you both. 

BIRTHDAY FOR JARROD!

Happy Birthday to our grandson, Jarrod.  Hope you have a
great day and wish we were in California to celebrate it with you!

JUSTIN'S BIRTHDAY!

Today is my grandson Justin's 22nd birthday. 

Thank GOD, he is home and safe on this birthday. 
Last year on his 21st birthday he was in 
Afghanistan.  Again, thank you GOD that he
is home and safe!.....

This is his birthday gift to his self!  It just came in
the mail and I think he is very happy with it, dont' you?

SNOW AND DAFFODILS...

This is what it looks like going in my back door today!  My poor
daffodils!  They are covered with about two inches of snow

and boy is it cold out there!  I am so glad I don't have to get up and
drive to work in this!  I did have to go out about ten this morning
to go to the Dentist.  I only live about three blocks from him so I didn't feel
right about calling and canceling.  Know what I mean?

FEBRUARY FLOWERS!

HOSPITAL WEEK...

We have been at the hospital most of this week.  Monday they did a
chemical stress test on Suzie which took most of the day.  Made her so sick and
what a headache it gave her.  I felt so bad for her.  Didn't hear
anything on that until the next day and was told there where shadows on the heart.



Wednesday they ran a Angiogram and found 30% blockage on
the right side and the vessels on the left were very very tiny.
Tiny because of smoking, they will not go back to regular
size but will continue to get smaller and smaller if she
continues to smoke.



Her Doctor and the staff at the Hospital were GREAT!  They were so good to her,
took great care of her.

Her little buddies sent her cards and the girls that work for
her came to see her and sent flowers.

She is one of those people that get up in the night and have to eat, so the
nurse would bring her a late night snack.  She got to come home
late Wednesday night and has to  (HAS TO) stop smoking, change eating
habits and walk, walk, walk.  She has had only  four cigs since Sunday and
for her that is doing good.  It's going to be so hard but her husband and
her son both are going to try to stop smoking with her.  That may
help a little...

SILENT HEART ATTACK?

My daughter, Suzie is in the hospital today and they think she has had
a silent heart attack.  I never heard of a silent heart attack!  It may be silent but
it is also scary!   They are going to do a stress test in the morning.  She
said she is feeling a little better but she is tired, hungry and ready for some more meds.

My daughter, Suzie and my grandson, Josh went to the Chili Bowl
in Tulsa, Oklahoma again the year.  They go and spend the week-end
with Suzie's dad and take in the Chili Bowl and of course I have to
snag a few of their pictures. 

SENIOR DAY!

Nice day out with Senior lunch at the Cherokee Casino Buffet and then...

Nice Senior movie time after lunch watching Joyful Noise which was
a good cute movie!!!!!!

BYE BYE OUR SWEET SAM CAT ONE...



Sam Cat found us when she was about 3 months old.  As you can see she took
very good care of Joshua.  She was a very very sweet girl and a great friend.  Josh and
his mom had to put Sam to sleep today.  Josh is now 19 so Sam was 16/17 years old.




Sam Cat One....She is Sam Cat One because Josh found another little kitten
at our house when he was about eleven and said we have to keep him because he looks
just like Sam.  So now we have Sam Cat Two.  We will miss you sweet baby girl!
