CUTE STORY FROM MY FRIEND, BRENDA....
God is sitting in
Heaven when a scientist says to Him,
Heaven when a scientist says to Him,
"Lord, we don't need you anymore.
Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing.
In other words, we can now do what you did in the 'beginning'."
"Oh, is that so?
Tell me..." replies God.
"Well", says the scientist,
"Oh, is that so?
Tell me..." replies God.
"Well", says the scientist,
"we can take dirt and form it
into the likeness of you and breathe life into it, thus creating man."
"Well, that's interesting.
into the likeness of you and breathe life into it, thus creating man."
"Well, that's interesting.
Show Me. "
So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to
mold the soil.
"Oh no, no, no...." interrupts God......

CRAZY BIKE!
My son, Kevin, rode his "Crazy" bike over to Shari's and the kids loved it! I don't know how they ride it with the handle bars so high.

Josh loved riding it all over the neighbor hood and since it was dark when Kevin was ready to go home, I gave him a ride and Josh got to keep the bike about three days.

Aunt Shari decided she would give it a try but when she got ready to stop she couldn't find the brakes! She yelled at Josh "where is the BRAKES!!! He yelled back "there are none, use your feet". She did get it stopped but no way was she getting back on. Of course, Josh got a good laugh out of pulling one over on his aunt.

GREAT GRAND CHILD MAKES 4 GENERATIONS...
I love this picture, it's good of all of them.
I don't know what little Keeyan did to make his Great Grandfather laugh like he is laughing but it must have been good!

WEEK END WITH MY BROTHER...
Josh played a few games of pool with cousin Jimmy but he couldn't get Uncle Jim to play him. Jim said he didn't want Josh to feel bad when he beat him :)
We went to the new Victoria Mall and what a Mall it was! You could not cover it all in one day. It reminded me of Disney Land Main Street. We loved it
Josh love the Jamba Juice his cousin got him hooked on. Had to take a taste and it was good!
so all the folks back home could drool :]

29 AND COUNTING...

We just got back from vacation this past Tuesday and both of us are so drained that we didn't even remember that it was our 29th Wedding Anniversary today. We thought about it yesterday! So we decided no cards, no gifts, nothing, just a nice lunch out this afternoon. And that is what we did, now we are both home and have crashed! Guess that is what old age does to a person :] Ya think???

I HOPE YOU DANCE...
When ever I look at these fun and happy pictures of my daughter and her family, I can't help thinking of the song: I HOPE YOU DANCE!

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes,
I hope one more opens,Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
Dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....
I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone)

REMEMBERING...
This is White Rock Cemetery in Jane, McDonald Co., Missouri. This is where my Great Grandparents, Robert and Lucinda Hopper, are buried. We took our grandsons with us to put flowers on the different family members that are buried there. To our surprise, they enjoyed the stories and the history we told them about that day. They cleaned around the stones and cleaned the stones the best they could. I was going to put Red, White and Blue flowers (my favorite colors) with a flag but the boys said no, their Great Great Great Grandfather was a Confederate Solider in the Civil War and would not think too much of me doing that. I went along with them, just happy that they were having a nice day learning about past family. The one picture of Josh cleaning around a stone made me stop and think...he was cleaning and working real hard when I came up to him and said "honey that is not our family". He looked up at me and said "I know Grammy, but it is a baby boy and if it was me, I would want him to clean my stone" Think this Grammy didn't have to turn around quick and wipe the tears from her eyes. :]
