SCRAPBOOKING CONVENTION...

My sister, Linda and I went to the Creating Keepsakes ScrapBooking Convention in Tulsa on Saturday. We haven't done anything together for a long time and what fun we had! My hubby drove us and when we were checking in they gave him a free pass saying they knew he was just there to carry all our wonderful purchases. How right they were! There was soooo much to see and buy you didn't know where to start. It really is a little over whelming. We both just stood there and looked, wondering where to start. It didn't take us long to get in the groove of things and it didn't take my husband long either. He is the one that brought the Blue box album I am holding and also surprised me with the Creating Keepsakes book "Computer Tricks for scrapbooking". I had been wanting it but wouldn't buy it for myself. He really is a sweet guy. After about three hours of shopping and a nice lunch we headed back home to Arkansas.

FARM TOWN ADDICT....

Anyone else besides myself, hooked on that stupid FB game FARMTOWN?????

I have been on that thing almost all afternoon with my sister, my grandson, my niece plus a bunch of farmers I don't even know! And you know what? We've been having a good time.

The idea is to plant crops that someone else harvests for money so you can buy things like houses, animals, paths, and rivers. You get your fields plowed by somebody else to get points to move up in the game. You also can get money and points by going to the Marketplace and getting someone else to hire you. The Marketplace is filled with “farmers”, yelling: HIRE ME! You can also instant message your “neighbors” to help harvest or plow.

It really gets bad, when your husband calls you to dinner and you say give me a couple more minutes, I just got a job picking cotton. And what's really bad! He understands and waits on you!

I just thought I would ask, since I feel so stupid for spending so much of my free time on there. So why don't you come and join me, have fun and feel stupid with me :)

VICTORIAN MOUNTAIN VILLAGE IN THE OZARKS!

Yesterday we spent the day in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's a lovely little town here in the Heart of the Ozarks. They have all types of shops, art galleries, spas and have the sweetest Victorian Bed and Breakfast places for you to stay in. The "gingerbread" homes are carefully preserved and the pastel colors and ornate decorations are beautiful!

We rode the Trolly around town and then had lunch at DeVito's, a litte Italian restaurant. It was nice to sit in a lovely place to have lunch and cool out a little. It was very very Hot! and the Humidity was Bad!

If you have never been to this little town, you really should go. You would enjoy it as much as Ron and I do.

JOSH AND THE I.O.U.

Josh, my 16 year old grandson, came by my office today and asked if I had enough money for him to get something to eat. I ask "why is it that every time you come in here it cost me money?" I just gave him $5.00 yesterday to go swimming. He only asked for three dollars but I thought that he would need a drink and snack so I gave him five. (Any grandmother would do that , right?) Anyway he just laughed and left for a minute.

He came back and handed me this little note and said (with a big smile) put this on my account. On account that you won't get it back :)
He learned that line from his Uncle Jim out in California when we were there on vacation.
I put the note on my bulletin board and smile each time I look at it :)

CUTE STORY FROM MY FRIEND, BRENDA....

God is sitting in
Heaven when a scientist says to Him,
"Lord, we don't need you anymore.
Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing.
In other words, we can now do what you did in the 'beginning'."
"Oh, is that so?
Tell me..." replies God.
"Well", says the scientist,
"we can take dirt and form it
into the likeness of you and breathe life into it, thus creating man."
"Well, that's interesting.
Show Me. "
So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to
mold the soil.
"Oh no, no, no...." interrupts God......

CRAZY BIKE!

My son, Kevin, rode his "Crazy" bike over to Shari's and the kids loved it! I don't know how they ride it with the handle bars so high.

Josh loved riding it all over the neighbor hood and since it was dark when Kevin was ready to go home, I gave him a ride and Josh got to keep the bike about three days.

Aunt Shari decided she would give it a try but when she got ready to stop she couldn't find the brakes! She yelled at Josh "where is the BRAKES!!! He yelled back "there are none, use your feet". She did get it stopped but no way was she getting back on. Of course, Josh got a good laugh out of pulling one over on his aunt.

GREAT GRAND CHILD MAKES 4 GENERATIONS...

We had "Four Generations" having fun on our vacation to see the kids in Bakersfield, California. My husband, Ron, his daughter, Shari, her daughter, Maycee and her son, Keeyan.
I love this picture, it's good of all of them.

I don't know what little Keeyan did to make his Great Grandfather laugh like he is laughing but it must have been good!

WEEK END WITH MY BROTHER...

We spent the week-end with my brother and his wife in Apple Valley, CA. We had the "BEST" time. He took us to Baja Taco for lunch and boy was it good. And get ready! It was only $1.98! Can you believe it!

Josh played a few games of pool with cousin Jimmy but he couldn't get Uncle Jim to play him. Jim said he didn't want Josh to feel bad when he beat him :)

We went to the new Victoria Mall and what a Mall it was! You could not cover it all in one day. It reminded me of Disney Land Main Street. We loved it

Josh love the Jamba Juice his cousin got him hooked on. Had to take a taste and it was good!

Josh got his first IN-N-OUT hamburger. Had to take a picture
so all the folks back home could drool :]

No IN-N-OUT in Arkansas :(

Went to breakfast the morning we left at Maxwell's. It was great, just a down home place with great food!

Josh tried to get a picture of Aunt Gloria. As you can see it didn't work.

All too fast, it was time to say good-by and head back to Arkansas. Thanks Jim and Gloria. We had a great time. Josh said it was the best time of the whole vacation! Love you both!!!!
