NEW NEAT TEA CUP...

I found this neat tea cup at our "Day Springs Outlet" store for only four dollars and I just love it. I usually drink my tea from a porcelain cup that I have had for about twenty years. I have always said "tea is much better in a porcelain cup" but I had to try this one. I liked it so much, I got one for home and one for the office.

WHAT IS BUTT DUST???

What, you ask, is 'Butt dust'? Read on and you'll discover the joy in it! These have to be original and genuine. No adult is this creative!!

JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister. After a while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk?"

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six."

STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom good night. 'I love you so much that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window.'

BRITTANY (age 4) had an ear ache and wanted a pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: 'How does it know it's me?'

SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. 'Please don't give me this juice again,' she said, 'It makes my teeth cough.'

DJ (age 4) stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: 'How much do I cost?'

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried When his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied, 'I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in it?'

MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging and kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad: 'Why is he whispering in her mouth?'

TAMMY (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, 'Why doesn't your skin fit your face?'

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: 'The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked back and was turned to salt.' Concerned, James asked: 'What happened to the flea?'

The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget ..

This particular Sunday sermon...'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face 'Without you, we are but dust...' He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

SUN'S OUT!

The sun came out but I don't think it will melt any of the snow we got last night that is covering the ice we got yesterday. Didn't make it into work today, they were not sure they would even stay open. All the roads are really bad! No one is moving unless they have to and we had to make it out to mom's to pick her up. Her lights went out yesterday afternoon along with her phone. We knew she had the fireplace for heat and that she would be OK until we could get there today. She is now staying with my aunt a few blocks from us. My aunt has a spare bedroom and mom didn't want to fight my cat for the couch. lol

MORE ICE STORM...

As the day went on the storm got worse. These pictures look like snow but believe me it's not, it's pure ice! Our neighbors tree just split and is blocking the street. Hubby cleared the walk but it is covered again. Tree limbs are cracking and falling all over the place. We had to pull one off the roof because it was laying across a power line. We just got the power back on, sure don't want to lose it!!!!

ICE STORM...

We are still having the ice storm and will have until 6AM on Wednesday morning. Our lights went out about 7:30 AM, just as we were leaving to go to work. The roads were not as bad as I thought they would be and we made it just find. Only saw two cars in the ditch. When we got to my place of work, only two people had made it in. The opening manager said she was not going to stay open very long and if I wanted to go home it was OK. I really didn't want to stay because hubby was taking the car and I was afraid I would be stranded when and if they closed up so we took off for home. When we got back to our little town it was all dark so we slowly drove into the next town and went to breakfast at McDonalds. Hubby really wanted to see if any of his coffee buddies was there, which being smarter than we are, they were not. As we pasted Wal-Mart hubby asked if I wanted to stop and walk around instead of going home to a empty dark house. I think he just wanted to check out the McD's there for more of his coffee buddies :-) After getting home and checking on my mother and aunt, who was without heat our lights came on about noon. So here I am like most of our towns around me, sitting at the PC and blogging. I did take some pictures outside of my old "Welcome Goose" with ice coming off her bill. The walk and old red deck is covered with ice and you can hear the ice in the trees cracking. I just hope the trees don't crack or it will be me cracking ;-)

JUST NOT MY DAY!!!

This is just not my day...it's a kind of a sad day!
We are having an Ice storm right now, so it
will be really hard getting to work tomorrow.
Suppose to be an inch and half of ice!!!!
My sister has to go for a biopsy on Wed. She
found a lump but it's small and they think it's
a calcium deposit. I hope so...
Then my 16 year old grandson got beat up at
school today. This Sr. kid came up behind him and
started beating on him because he didn't want
him talking to this girl! My grandson spent the
afternoon at the ER and then had to go to the
dentist to re-do his braces. They did handcuff the
Sr. kid and took him to jail...
Guess it was a sad day for someone besides me....
Right Sr. Kid!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Yes, today is my Birthday, my 64th Birthday! I don't feel that I am getting older...well, maybe just a little. But I do wish I knew who this old lady in my mirror is! Every time I go to put on my make-up or do my hair, or even just walk by, there she is! How did she end up in there? How did I end up like this so fast! Oh well, guess that is life and I better get use to it, think? These pictures are all of my past and the last one is my present. What a present to get on my Birthday! LOL... All kidding aside it's been a very nice Birthday that started out at McDonald's with our friends that we meet with each Saturday. My sister and her grand daughter, Nicole stopped by McD's (she knows where to find me every Saturday AM) and gave me a gift card for Kirkland's. Mom gave me a gift card for Hasting's (for movies, books or CD's) and hubby took me shopping and out to lunch at Appleby's. My daughter and her family is coming over tomorrow, so yes I have had a very nice Birthday even if that old lady keeps showing up in my mirror...

DOING BETTER...

Justin came by my office today and said he is a little sore but is doing much better and back at work. Good thing he has an old Ford for his "muddN" truck, at least he has wheels. He got the Ford last week to play in so he could "save" his Dodge. But it didn't work out that way. He is still waiting on the police report and the insurance to check out his Dodge. Seems like sometimes things just keep happening and happening and happening to people!

THANK YOU GOD!

Yes, Thank you God, that Justin is OK. He was in an accident yesterday which totaled his 2006 Dodge Pickup. He only had his pickup for about six weeks. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was strapped down to a board and had some orange things holding his neck and head still when we got there. Looked very scary but it turned out he was OK. He is very sore today and as you can guess very sad. Not sure what really happen but it involved three cars and the car in front of Justin just stopped! He tried his best but as the policeman told him....he did his best and did the only thing he could do...

MOORE HERITAGE...

Spent yesterday working on my digital heritage album. This page is on my aunt, Laura Maxine Moore Wymore. She always went by the name Maxine. She was one of my mother's younger sister's. I didn't get to know my aunt Maxine very well because we lived in Kansas and she lived in Iowa when I was a child. She died at the young age of 56. Her and her husband, Carl, had four children, Bobby, Larry, Sharon and Jimmy. Sharon became one of my best friends a few years ago after I moved to Arkansas and found her living in Missouri with her husband,Jim. We have had some good times digging up our family genealogy...

MEET MAX...

Meet Max. He belongs to my niece, Jennifer, who lives in Indiana. He looks so sweet. I told her it makes me want to go and get a dog. But I won't. We have two cats and after having five Cockers at one time a few years ago, it makes me think that cats are much easier to take care of. With my cats, I can leave anytime I want and all I have to do is make sure there is water and food for them. And, oh yeah, clean cat boxes are a must! They get in such a routine! They want to do the same thing every day at the same time! I've never had cats before and didn't know the joy they could bring you. So for now I think we will just stick to cats, but I still think Max is pretty special. I know he is because he belongs to real special lady. Good night Max...

CHRISTMAS EVE...

Each year we all go to my mother's for
Christmas Eve. First thing I did was
get a picture of my grandsons, Josh and
Justin. Then came Nicole and her dad, Matt. Nicole is four and was a lot of fun this year. My brother, Jeff kept telling Nicole that Santa was stuck in the snow and would not be at our house this Christmas. She wasn't buying it and came right back at him. He showed her a picture on his laptop of Santa crashing and when she saw the picture she turned around and grabed my husband's arms and shook him saying how could you let him do that !!! My son-in-law, Brian went outside and called Nicole on his cell phone telling her he was Santa and would be there soon. I hope every one had a nice Christmas, I know I am just glad it is over and I am ready for the New Year...

CHRISTMAS AND THE FLU...

On Monday morning before Christmas I woke up early (about 4:30) with the "FLU" !!! Yes, the FLU!
I couldn't go to work for two days, I couldn't move
for two days!!! Thank goodness I didn't have to
work the Holidays or I wouldn't have made it. This stuff was Nasty!!! (Bet someone I know will get her flu shot next year) Around three P.M. on Christmas Eve I was feeling better. I got out of my P.J's and into some jeans and we made it out to my Mom's for the evening. Got up Christmas morning and Santa gave my poor hubby my FLU!!! Boy is he SICK!!! and he even had his flu shot... I don't think I have ever seen him this sick in all our years together. I am never a good nurse but he has been sooooooo good to me this week that I am really making an effort to care for him better than I usually do when he is feeling bad. He says he is feeling better but still so weak. This stuff makes you feel like a rag doll. I know one thing for sure and that is...I will be VERY HAPPY to go back to work!!!
